🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Global Cloud Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure and operations for Amazon's global customers. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud services and optimal performance. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Cloud Operations, you will have a direct impact on the customer experience and contribute to the growth and success of the company. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying and mitigating potential risks, optimizing cloud architecture, and implementing best practices for cloud security and compliance.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design and implement cloud infrastructure for Amazon's global customers, including architecture, deployment, and management of cloud resources.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud services and optimal performance.

- Identify and mitigate potential risks, optimize cloud architecture, and implement best practices for cloud security and compliance.

- Work closely with the cloud security team to implement and maintain security controls and compliance with relevant regulations.

- Develop and maintain detailed documentation of cloud infrastructure and operations, including architecture diagrams and runbooks.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud-related issues, collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners as needed.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and trends, identifying opportunities for innovation and growth.

- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams.

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and operations, with a focus on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- Strong expertise in cloud architecture, deployment, and management, including AWS services such as EC2, S3, and RDS.

- Experience with cloud security and compliance, including AWS IAM, Cognito, and CloudWatch.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex cloud-related issues.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- Experience with containerization and serverless computing, including Docker and AWS Lambda.

- Strong knowledge of DevOps and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

- Experience with cloud cost optimization and management, including AWS Cost Explorer and CloudWatch.

- Strong understanding of cloud identity and access management (IAM) policies and best practices.

💰 WHAT WE OFFER

Salary range: £50,000 - £80,000 per annum.
