🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Global Content Acquisition Manager for YouTube Originals, you will play a key role in identifying, acquiring, and developing high-quality, engaging content for our global audience.

You will work closely with internal teams, including our content development, production, and acquisition teams, to source and secure rights to exclusive content that resonates with our users.

You will also develop and maintain relationships with content creators, producers, and studios, negotiating deals and ensuring timely delivery of content that meets our quality standards.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Scout and identify potential content partners and opportunities across the globe, researching market trends and analyzing data to inform acquisition decisions.

* Develop and execute content acquisition strategies that align with YouTube's business goals and audience preferences.

* Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement content workflows, ensuring efficient and effective content delivery.

* Negotiate and finalize agreements with content partners, including contract reviews, budgeting, and project management.

* Provide regular reporting and updates on content acquisition progress, metrics, and insights to internal stakeholders.

* Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements, applying this knowledge to inform content acquisition decisions.

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

* 8+ years of experience in content acquisition, licensing, or production, with a track record of delivering high-quality content to a global audience.

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

* Proven expertise in content acquisition, licensing, or production, with a deep understanding of the industry, trends, and key players.

* Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with content creators, producers, and studios.

* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.

* Proficient in MS Office, Google Workspace, and other relevant tools and software.

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Experience working with streaming platforms, TV networks, or film studios, with a deep understanding of their content acquisition processes and strategies.

* Knowledge of international copyright laws, regulations, and industry standards.

* Familiarity with content rights management, clearance, and administration.

* Certification in content acquisition, licensing, or production, such as the Content Acquisition Certification Program.
