🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Global E-commerce Payment Processing Systems Architect, you will play a critical role in shaping the technical direction of our payment processing systems in Latin America. Reporting to the Senior Director of Engineering, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance payment systems that meet the evolving needs of our customers. Your focus will be on ensuring seamless interactions between our payment platforms, e-commerce merchants, and financial institutions, while meeting the strictest security and compliance standards.

πŸ“‹ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design and implement scalable, fault-tolerant, and highly available payment processing systems that meet the needs of our growing customer base in Latin America.- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop, test, and deploy new payment processing features and integrations.- Work closely with payment card industry (PCI) and financial industry regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with their standards and regulations.- Develop and maintain high-level system architecture diagrams to visualize our payment processing systems and identify areas for improvement.- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, security, and adherence to best practices.- Collaborate with our DevOps team to implement and improve our CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tools.- Develop and maintain knowledge sharing best practices with the team and participate in knowledge sharing activities.

βœ… REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 8+ years of experience in designing, developing, and implementing large-scale payment processing systems, preferably in a cloud-based environment.- Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.- Strong expertise in cloud computing platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure.- Excellent knowledge of payment processing systems, including card payment processing, online transfer, and wallet services.- Proficiency in languages such as Java, Python, or C++. Experience with data storage systems, such as relational databases, NoSQL databases, and data lakes.- Strong understanding of security principles and practices, including threat modeling, penetration testing, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.- Experience with agile software development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools, such as Jenkins or GitLab.

- Experience working with payment card industry (PCI) standards and compliance regulations.- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes.- Experience with cloud-based messaging platforms, such as Amazon SQS or Azure Service Bus.- Experience with monitoring and logging tools, such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.- Experience with agile project management methods, such as Scrum or Kanban.- Experience working with global cross-functional teams.
