šÆ ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Global Music Analytics Platform Architect, you will play a critical role in shaping the data-driven decision-making process at Spotify. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain our music analytics platform, providing actionable insights to inform business decisions, product development, and user experience enhancements. You will report directly to the Vice President of Data Science and Engineering, and your work will have a significant impact on Spotify's growth and success.
š KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
⢠Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to design and implement data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions to support music analytics and insights.
⢠Develop and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable data platforms using cloud-native technologies such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
⢠Design and implement data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
⢠Work with data engineers to develop and maintain data processing and analytics tools, such as Apache Beam, Apache Spark, or Apache Flink.
⢠Collaborate with data scientists to develop and deploy machine learning models and predictive analytics using TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
⢠Develop and maintain data visualization and reporting tools to support business decision-making and user experience enhancements.
⢠Ensure seamless integration with existing data platforms, APIs, and systems.
⢠Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in data engineering and analytics.
⢠Mentor and guide junior engineers and data scientists to develop their skills and expertise.
ā REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
⢠8+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or related field.
⢠Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
⢠Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
⢠Experience with cloud-native technologies such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
⢠Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance concepts.
⢠Experience with data processing and analytics tools such as Apache Beam, Apache Spark, or Apache Flink.
⢠Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
ā PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
⢠3+ years of experience with music industry data, analytics, or related field.
⢠Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js.
⢠Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker or Kubernetes.
⢠Certification in data science, engineering, or related field.
