🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Global Payment Operations Specialist — Risk and Compliance, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and security of PayPal's payment processing operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks and compliance issues. Your primary focus will be on maintaining the highest standards of risk management, compliance, and customer experience.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and implement risk management strategies to prevent payment-related fraud and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and assess potential risks and compliance issues.

Work closely with the Compliance team to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Conduct thorough investigations and analysis of payment-related incidents and anomalies.

Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and law enforcement agencies.

Provide expert advice and guidance on risk management and compliance matters to internal stakeholders.

Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure PayPal remains compliant.

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of experience in risk management, compliance, or a related field.

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as finance, law, or business.

Proven track record of developing and implementing risk management strategies.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to think critically and strategically.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree in a relevant field, such as finance or law.

Certifications in risk management or compliance, such as CISM or CFE.

Experience working in the financial industry, particularly in payment processing.

Fluent in multiple languages, including English and German.
