π― ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Global Sourcing Specialist β EU Compliance, you will play a key role in ensuring our international sourcing operations comply with all relevant EU regulations. You will be responsible for evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, and implementing compliance protocols. You will report directly to the Senior Procurement Manager and will have a significant impact on the company's global operations.
π KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Evaluate and identify potential suppliers that meet EU compliance standards
* Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure compliance with EU regulations
* Implement and manage compliance protocols across global sourcing operations
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless implementation of compliance procedures
* Conduct regular audits to ensure ongoing compliance with EU regulations
* Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure continued compliance
* Stay up-to-date with changes to EU regulations and ensure our sourcing operations remain compliant
* Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
* Develop and maintain accurate records of compliance activities and supplier performance
* Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and effective implementation of compliance procedures
* Provide training and support to colleagues on EU compliance requirements
* Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with non-compliance
* Develop and implement corrective action plans to address non-compliance issues
β REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
* 5+ years of experience in procurement or global sourcing with a focus on EU compliance
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field
* Strong knowledge of EU regulations and compliance standards
* Excellent negotiation and contract management skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to travel internationally up to 20% of the time
* Fluency in English and German (spoken and written)
* Proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace
* Certification in EU compliance or procurement management (e.g. CIPS, CSCP)
β PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Master's degree in Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field
* Experience working in the EU or with EU-based companies
* Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance standards (e.g. pharmaceutical, automotive)
* Certification in EU procurement or compliance management
* Proven track record of achieving cost savings and process improvements
