šÆ ROLE OVERVIEW
The Global Supply Chain Optimization Coordinator will play a critical role in driving efficiency and cost savings within our Western Region supply chain operations. Reporting directly to the Regional Director of Supply Chain, this person will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze data and develop actionable insights to improve inventory management, shipping and receiving processes, and reduce freight costs. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing process improvements and driving cultural change to achieve our goals.
š KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
. Develop and implement data-driven strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce stockouts, and improve fill rates.
. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to analyze and resolve supply chain disruptions, such as delivery delays or stock shortages.
. Analyze freight spend and negotiate with carriers to secure competitive pricing and improved service.
. Design and implement data visualizations to track key performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
. Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors, such as third-party logistics providers, to ensure seamless execution of our supply chain operations.
. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
. Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of processes and procedures.
. Provide training and support to team members to ensure effective execution of supply chain operations.
. Monitor and report on key performance metrics, such as delivery times, stock levels, and freight spend.
. Collaborate with the Regional Director of Supply Chain to develop and execute strategic plans to improve supply chain performance.
ā REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
. 3+ years of experience in supply chain operations, with a focus on inventory management, logistics, and freight optimization.
. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, or a related field.
. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect and analyze data to drive business decisions.
. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
. Experience with supply chain software, such as SAP or Oracle.
. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
. Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time, with occasional overnight stays.
ā PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
. Master's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
. Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
. Certification in supply chain management, such as the Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or the Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM).
. Experience with data analytics tools, such as SQL or Python.
