šÆ ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Global Supply Chain Optimization Specialist, you will play a key role in enhancing our supply chain operations to meet the demands of our customers and our business. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement, implement process enhancements, and develop strategic plans to drive efficiency and cost savings. You will report to the Head of Supply Chain Operations and will have a direct impact on our company's bottom line.
š KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement supply chain optimization strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturing teams, and logistics providers to streamline processes, reduce lead times, and improve quality.
Analyze data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth, cost savings, and process improvements.
Implement and maintain supply chain management systems, including transportation management, inventory management, and warehouse management.
Develop and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supply chain performance and identify areas for improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements, including lean manufacturing initiatives.
Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to negotiate favorable contracts and prices.
Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings, including reducing energy consumption, waste, and packaging materials.
ā REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain optimization, logistics, or a related field.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience with supply chain management software, including transportation management systems and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to inform business decisions.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturing teams, and logistics providers.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex data and supply chain concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
ā PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Certification in supply chain management, such as the Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or the Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM).
Experience with data analytics and business intelligence tools, such as Tableau or Excel.
Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
Experience with cloud-based supply chain management software.
š° WHAT WE OFFER
We offer a competitive salary range of £50,000 - £80,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
