🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a talented and experienced Head of Global Sustainability and Environmental Strategy to join our dedicated team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving Apple's global sustainability strategy, developing and implementing environmentally responsible practices, and fostering a culture of sustainability across the organization. Reporting to our Chief Sustainability Officer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for environmental improvement and develop innovative solutions to reduce our environmental footprint.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop and implement a comprehensive global sustainability strategy aligned with Apple's business objectives and environmental goals

- Conduct regular environmental impact assessments and develop effective mitigation strategies to reduce our carbon footprint

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design and implement environmentally responsible product design, manufacturing, and supply chain practices

- Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including NGOs, government agencies, and industry peers, to advance Apple's sustainability objectives

- Provide thought leadership and expertise on sustainability issues to inform business decisions and drive innovation

- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress toward sustainability goals

- Collaborate with internal communications teams to develop and implement effective sustainability messaging and campaigns

- Develop and manage the sustainability budget and resource allocation

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Minimum 10 years of experience in sustainability and environmental strategy, with a proven track record of driving meaningful environmental impact

- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field; Master's degree or higher preferred

- Strong understanding of environmental regulations and industry standards, including EU and UK regulations

- Experience working with cross-functional teams to drive sustainability initiatives and collaborate with external stakeholders

- Proven ability to develop and implement effective sustainability strategies and drive cultural change within an organization

- Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience working in a technology industry or with a strong understanding of the sector's environmental challenges and opportunities

- Familiarity with environmental management systems (EMS) and standards, such as ISO 14001

- Certification in Environmental Management or Sustainability, such as CEM or CEP

- Experience working in the UK or EU environment

💰 WHAT WE OFFER

We offer a highly competitive salary range of £50,000 - £80,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
