🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

As the Head of Medical Technology Integration, you will play a critical role in leading our efforts to harness the power of technology to drive medical innovation and improve patient outcomes. Reporting directly to the Chief Medical Information Officer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to integrate medical technology, data analytics, and artificial intelligence to enhance our clinical services and research initiatives. Your work will have a significant impact on the lives of our patients and contribute to the advancement of medical knowledge worldwide.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and execute comprehensive strategies to integrate medical technology, data analytics, and AI to drive clinical innovation and improve patient outcomes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement medical technology solutions that meet clinical and operational needs. Lead the development and implementation of data analytics and AI initiatives to enhance clinical decision-making and research. Work closely with stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of medical technology with existing clinical systems. Provide technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams, including clinicians, clinical engineers, and data scientists. Stay up-to-date with emerging medical technology trends and assess their potential impact on our clinical services and research initiatives.

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

At least 8 years of experience in medical technology integration, data analytics, or AI development. Proven track record of leading large-scale technology initiatives and driving innovation in a clinical setting. Advanced degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, biomedical engineering, or healthcare administration. Strong expertise in medical technology, data analytics, and AI, with a deep understanding of clinical and operational needs. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and tight deadlines.

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Familiarity with UPMC's electronic health records system and other clinical systems. Experience with data analytics and AI platforms, such as IBM Watson or Microsoft Azure. Knowledge of medical regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and foster collaboration between clinicians, engineers, and data scientists.

💰 WHAT WE OFFER

We offer a competitive salary range of €50,000 - €80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
