🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

This role will focus on designing and implementing hybrid data architectures to support the development of connected vehicle systems, enabling seamless communication between vehicles, infrastructure, and users. As a Hybrid Data Architect, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate data from various sources, ensure data consistency and quality, and develop data-driven solutions to enhance customer experiences and drive business growth. You will report directly to the Data Engineering Manager and will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering cutting-edge data solutions.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Design and implement hybrid data architectures to support connected vehicle systems, integrating data from various sources, including vehicle sensors, telematics, and external data feeds.

* Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and product owners to develop data-driven solutions, ensuring data consistency, quality, and security.

* Develop and maintain data pipelines, using technologies such as Apache Kafka, Apache Beam, and AWS Glue.

* Design and implement data warehouses and data lakes, using technologies such as Amazon Redshift, Amazon S3, and Apache Hadoop.

* Ensure data governance, compliance, and security, adhering to GM's data policies and regulations.

* Develop and maintain data visualizations and reports, using tools such as Tableau and Power BI.

* Participate in agile development teams, using methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.

* Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements and develop data roadmaps.

* Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data architecture and engineering, applying knowledge to improve GM's data capabilities.

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

* 8+ years of experience in data architecture, engineering, or a related field.

* Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

* In-depth knowledge of data architecture, data engineering, and data governance.

* Experience with hybrid data architectures, data warehouses, and data lakes.

* Strong understanding of data security, compliance, and governance.

* Experience with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum and Kanban.

* Proficient in programming languages, such as Java, Python, and Scala.

* Experience with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS and Azure.

* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams.

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Experience with connected vehicle systems, telematics, and vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication.

* Knowledge of edge AI, machine learning, and IoT technologies.

* Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau and Power BI.

* Certification in data science, data engineering, or a related field.

* Experience with GM's data platforms, such as GM Data Platform and GM Data Warehouse.

💰 WHAT WE OFFER
