🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Lead Cloud Infrastructure Architect for Sustainable Mobility Solutions, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of Tesla's cloud infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration with our electric vehicle ecosystem. You will report directly to the Director of Cloud Engineering and will be part of a dynamic team that works closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and growth. Your primary focus will be on designing and implementing scalable, secure, and efficient cloud infrastructure solutions to support Tesla's expanding mobility services.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions for Tesla's mobility services, including scalable storage, computing, and networking architectures.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud infrastructure with existing on-premises systems and other third-party services.

• Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure security and compliance policies to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations.

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members on cloud infrastructure design, implementation, and operation.

• Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud technologies, trends, and best practices, and recommend innovative solutions to improve Tesla's cloud infrastructure.

• Collaborate with other teams to develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans for cloud infrastructure.

• Develop and maintain documentation of cloud infrastructure architecture, including diagrams, documentation, and knowledge base articles.

• Perform capacity planning, budgeting, and forecasting for cloud infrastructure resources.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues, and communicate with stakeholders on resolution plans and impact.

• Develop and execute plans to improve cloud infrastructure efficiency, performance, and reliability.

• Develop and maintain relationships with cloud service providers, and negotiate contracts for cloud infrastructure services.

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 7+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure architecture, design, and implementation.

• Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure platforms, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration platforms.

• Knowledge of cloud security, compliance, and governance policies and frameworks, including PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and GDPR.

• Experience with agile methodologies and collaborative development practices.

• Strong leadership and communication skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C++.

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with cloud cost optimization and resource allocation tools.

• Knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques, and experience with their application in cloud infrastructure.

• Experience with cloud security and compliance certifications, such as Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) or Cloud Compliance Institute (CCI).

• Strong experience with cloud migration and modernization strategies.

💰 WHAT WE OFFER

As a Lead Cloud Infrastructure Architect for Sustainable Mobility Solutions at Tesla, you can expect a competitive salary range of £55,000 - £80,000 per year, depending on experience.
