šÆ ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Lead Data Governance Specialist ā Regulatory Compliance, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and security of our client data across various systems and locations. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Data Governance, you will be responsible for developing and enforcing data governance policies, procedures, and standards that align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
š KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain data governance policies, procedures, and standards that ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data governance frameworks, data quality initiatives, and data privacy programs.
- Conduct regular data audits and risk assessments to identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on data governance best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop and implement data governance standards and procedures.
- Develop and maintain data governance metrics and dashboards to measure progress and identify areas of improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and developments in the field of data governance.
- Collaborate with internal audit and external auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and industry associations to stay informed on regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Collaborate with other teams to develop and implement data governance standards and procedures for cloud-based applications and services.
- Develop and maintain data governance standards for data warehousing and business intelligence.
ā REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of experience in data governance, regulatory compliance, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in a related field preferred.
- Experience with data governance frameworks, data quality initiatives, and data privacy programs.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, such as GDPR and CCPA.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing data governance policies, procedures, and standards.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
ā PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with data governance tools, such as Informatica PowerCenter or IBM InfoSphere.
- Experience with cloud-based data governance platforms, such as AWS Glue or Google Cloud Data Catalog.
- Certification in data governance, such as Certified Data Governance Professional (CDGP) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
- Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence.
- Experience with data governance standards, such as ISO 38500 or COSO.

- Salary range: ā¬60,000 - ā¬80,000 per year.
