π― ROLE OVERVIEW
As the Hotel Operations Manager at Marriott, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of one of our properties in Germany. You will oversee a team of hotel staff, including front desk, housekeeping, and F&B teams, ensuring excellent guest satisfaction and exceeding revenue targets. You will report directly to the Regional Operations Manager and will be expected to contribute to the growth and success of the hotel. Your impact will be felt by our guests, who rely on us to provide exceptional service and a seamless experience.
π KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement strategies to improve hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, and F&B services, to exceed revenue targets and exceed guest satisfaction scores.
- Lead and manage a team of hotel staff, providing feedback, coaching, and training to ensure excellent performance and high morale.
- Ensure compliance with Marriott's policies and procedures, as well as local laws and regulations, to minimize risk and maintain a safe working environment.
- Analyze financial performance, including revenue, labor costs, and expenses, to identify areas for cost savings and improvement.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute sales strategies, resulting in increased revenue and occupancy.
- Conduct regular guest satisfaction surveys and analyze results to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial and operational performance to management.
- Implement sustainable practices and initiatives to reduce the hotel's environmental impact.
β REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience in hotel management, preferably in a leadership role.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with hotel management software, including property management systems and revenue management tools.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed decisions.
- Certification in hospitality management or a related field, such as a Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) or Certified Hotel Manager (CHM), is highly desirable.
β PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
- Experience in a multi-unit or regional role, with a focus on operations and revenue growth.
- Knowledge of local laws and regulations, including employment, taxation, and environmental regulations.
- Experience with sustainability initiatives and green certifications, such as the LEED or ISO 14001 standards.
