šÆ ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Remote Cybersecurity Specialist ā Data Protection and Compliance, you will play a critical role in protecting H-E-B's sensitive customer and employee data from cyber threats. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement robust security controls, monitor our systems for suspicious activity, and respond to security incidents. You will report to the Director of Cybersecurity and will be responsible for ensuring H-E-B's data protection and compliance initiatives align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Your work will have a significant impact on our ability to build trust with our customers and maintain a competitive edge in the market.
š KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain H-E-B's data protection and compliance program, including policies, procedures, and training materials
- Collaborate with IT, business partners, and external vendors to identify and mitigate cyber risks
- Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Respond to security incidents, including data breaches and phishing attacks, in a timely and effective manner
- Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats and develop strategies to mitigate their impact
- Develop and implement data protection and compliance training programs for H-E-B employees
- Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement security controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all security incidents, including root cause analysis and recommendations for improvement
- Conduct regular reviews of H-E-B's security controls to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed
- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure H-E-B's security controls meet regulatory requirements
ā REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on data protection and compliance
- CISSP, CISM, or CISA certification is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of data protection regulations, including GDPR and CCPA
- Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex security threats and develop effective mitigation strategies
ā PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in Cybersecurity or related field
- Experience with cloud security platforms, including AWS and Azure
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration platforms, including Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools, including Jenkins and Git

We offer a highly competitive salary range of £50,000 - £80,000, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including private health insurance and a pension plan. You will also receive 25 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays, and a £1,000 annual training budget.
