🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Remote DevOps Engineer for Public Transportation Systems, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation network. You will work closely with our IT team to design, implement, and maintain the infrastructure that supports our transportation systems. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our systems, and will work with our development team to identify and prioritize new features and improvements. You will report to our Director of IT and will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of our company.

πŸ“‹ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Design and implement scalable and secure infrastructure for our transportation systems, including virtualization, Containerization, and cloud services.

* Collaborate with our development team to identify and prioritize new features and improvements, and ensure that they are implemented in a timely and reliable manner.

* Develop and maintain scripts and tools to automate the deployment and management of our systems.

* Troubleshoot and resolve issues with our systems in a timely and effective manner, and communicate with our stakeholders to provide updates and solutions.

* Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and make recommendations for improvements and new initiatives.

* Collaborate with our security team to ensure that our systems are secure and compliant with industry standards.

* Develop and maintain documentation for our systems, including diagrams, flowcharts, and technical notes.

* Participate in on-call rotation to ensure that our systems are always available and performing well.

βœ… REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

* 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a focus on public transportation systems or a related field.

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

* Proficiency in cloud services, including AWS or Azure.

* Experience with containerization and virtualization, including Docker and Kubernetes.

* Strong understanding of system security and compliance, including industry standards and regulations.

* Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

* Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

* Experience with public transportation systems, including the use of IoT devices and sensors.

* Certification in DevOps, including Certified DevOps Engineer or Certified Scrum Master.
