šŸŽÆ ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Remote German-speaking Sustainability Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable business practices in our markets across Germany. Reporting directly to the Regional Sustainability Director, you will contribute to driving revenue growth, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing our brand reputation through sustainability initiatives. Your expertise will help us achieve our ambitious sustainability goals, including reducing carbon emissions, water usage, and waste generation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, logistics, and marketing.

šŸ“‹ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and implement sustainable business practices to reduce environmental impact.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement.

Conduct regular sustainability audits to assess and report on progress.

Design and implement training programs for employees on sustainable practices.

Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure sustainability standards are met.

Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and best practices in sustainability.

Collaborate with the Regional Sustainability Director to develop and implement sustainability strategies.

Monitor and report progress on sustainability metrics and goals.

āœ… REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 5 years of experience in sustainability or a related field (environmental management, corporate social responsibility, etc.).

University degree in Environmental Management, Sustainability, Business Administration, or a related field.

Proficiency in German and English (written and spoken).

Excellent communication, project management, and analytical skills.

Knowledge of sustainability frameworks, standards, and certifications (e.g., ISO 26000, GRI, etc.).

Experience with sustainability reporting and data analysis.

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Management, or a related field.

Certifications in sustainability (e.g., CSCP, CM, etc.).

Experience with supply chain management and procurement.

Knowledge of industry-specific sustainability regulations and standards.

Fluency in additional languages.
