As a Remote IT Project Manager — Business Development, you will play a critical role in driving the successful delivery of complex IT projects that align with the airline's business objectives. Reporting directly to the Director of IT Project Management, you will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Your expertise will have a direct impact on the airline's ability to innovate and stay ahead of the competition, driving growth and customer satisfaction.

šŸ“‹ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and execute project plans, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned with project objectives and timelines.

• Lead cross-functional teams consisting of technical, business, and project management personnel, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages open communication and innovation.

• Conduct regular status updates, risk assessments, and progress monitoring to ensure that projects are on track and address any deviations or issues promptly.

• Develop and manage project budgets, resource allocation, and schedules, working closely with senior leadership to ensure that projects align with organizational goals.

• Facilitate stakeholder engagement, including communication with the executive team, project sponsors, and customers, ensuring that their needs and expectations are met.

• Coordinate with third-party vendors, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless delivery of projects.

• Conduct regular training and coaching to ensure that project team members have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver projects successfully.

• Identify and implement process improvements, leveraging industry best practices and lessons learned from previous projects.

• Develop and maintain detailed project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and lessons learned.

• Collaborate with the IT Department to identify and prioritize business requirements, developing a project portfolio that aligns with the airline's strategic objectives.

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying that knowledge to improve project delivery and outcomes.

āœ… REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of experience in IT project management, preferably in a similar industry.

• PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a must, with a strong understanding of project management methodologies and frameworks.

• Proven track record of delivering complex IT projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.

• Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand and articulate business requirements.

• Proficiency in project management tools, such as Asana, Jira, or MS Project.

• Strong understanding of IT service management frameworks and methodologies.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines.

• Experience working in a similar industry, with knowledge of airline operations and IT systems.

• Familiarity with Southwest Airlines' products and services, including our passenger and cargo operations.

• Strong knowledge of cloud-based project management tools and platforms.
