🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Remote Operations Manager for our German Rail Network Expansion project, you will play a critical role in overseeing the daily operations of our intercity rail network in Germany. Reporting to the Senior Program Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of our expansion plans, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and making key decisions to optimize network performance. Your expertise and leadership will drive innovation and efficiency, enabling us to deliver improved services to our customers and stakeholders.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

. Develop and implement strategies to enhance network performance, reducing delays and improving customer satisfaction.

. Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.

. Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and recommend evidence-based solutions.

. Lead cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex operational issues.

. Conduct regular site visits to monitor network conditions and provide technical support.

. Foster strong relationships with regional authorities, stakeholders, and customers to promote our services and gather feedback.

. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying knowledge to drive continuous improvement.

. Work closely with the project management office to ensure alignment with business objectives and goals.

. Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics to optimize resource allocation.

. Collaborate with procurement teams to negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors.

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

. 8+ years of experience in transportation or infrastructure management, with a focus on operations and management.

. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, business administration, or logistics.

. Proven track record of leadership and management, with experience in supervising cross-functional teams.

. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and drive evidence-based decision-making.

. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.

. Fluency in German and English, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages.

. Master's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, business administration, or logistics.

. Experience with rail network planning and management, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

. Competitive salary range of €60,000 - €80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
