🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Remote Senior Risk Management Specialist - Financial Products, you will play a critical role in ensuring the company's financial products and services are designed and delivered in a manner that minimizes risk to customers, employees, and the company. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks associated with financial products. You will also develop and implement risk management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. You will report directly to the Risk Management Director and will have a significant impact on the company's risk posture.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

. Assess and analyze financial product design and development to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities. Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate these risks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and sales, to ensure risk considerations are incorporated into product design and launch plans. Conduct regular risk reviews and assessments to identify areas for improvement. Develop and maintain risk management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Identify and escalate high-risk issues to senior management. Provide risk management training and guidance to colleagues and business partners. Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and industry partners to stay up-to-date on regulatory requirements and best practices. Conduct research and analysis to identify emerging risks and trends in the financial products industry. Develop and implement data analytics tools to support risk management decision-making.

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

. 8+ years of experience in risk management, finance, or a related field. Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as mathematics, statistics, or economics. Advanced degree (e.g., master's or Ph.D.) in a related field is preferred. Proven experience with financial products, risk management, and regulatory issues. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement complex risk management strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Experience with data analytics tools and techniques. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards, such as Basel III and the OCC's risk management guidelines.

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

. Master's degree in a quantitative field, such as mathematics, statistics, or economics. 5+ years of experience working in a financial institution or regulatory agency. Certification in risk management, such as the Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designation. Experience with data visualization tools and techniques. Familiarity with cloud-based risk management platforms and tools.
