🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Senior Aerospace IT Security Architect in our Defence Industry Solutions team, you'll play a critical role in designing and implementing secure IT solutions for our defence customers. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain secure architectures, systems and applications, ensuring that we meet the evolving security needs of our customers. You'll report directly to the Programme Manager and will be responsible for leading a team of security architects and engineers.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop and maintain secure IT architectures, systems and applications for defence customers

- Lead a team of security architects and engineers to design and implement secure solutions

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain secure software and systems

- Conduct security risk assessments and provide recommendations for mitigation

- Develop and implement security policies and procedures

- Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats and technologies, and apply this knowledge to our defence solutions

- Work with our customers to understand their security needs and provide tailored solutions

- Develop and deliver training and awareness programmes for our customers and employees

- Collaborate with our engineering teams to ensure that security is integrated into the development lifecycle

- Develop and maintain relationships with our customers and partners to ensure that we meet their security needs

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 10+ years of experience in IT security, with a focus on defence or aerospace

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field

- Professional certifications in IT security, such as CISSP or CISM

- Experience with secure architecture design and implementation

- Strong understanding of security threats and technologies, including cloud security

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills

- Ability to lead and manage a team of security architects and engineers

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field

- Experience with secure software development and testing

- Familiarity with cloud security platforms, such as AWS or Azure

- Experience with DevSecOps and continuous security monitoring

- Strong understanding of defence and aerospace industry security requirements

Our team is comprised of experienced security architects, engineers and programme managers who are passionate about delivering secure and innovative solutions. We're proud of our recent wins and projects, including the development of a secure cloud-based platform for one of our defence customers, and the implementation of a secure software development lifecycle for another.
