šÆ ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Senior Business Development Manager at Dollar Tree, you will be responsible for developing and executing growth strategies for our retail business. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for expansion, and drive initiatives to increase sales and market share. You will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Retail Growth and be a key member of our retail leadership team. Your impact will be felt across the organization as you contribute to the development of our business strategy and help drive growth in our retail operations.
š KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute business development strategies to drive growth in the retail business, including market research, competitor analysis, and trend analysis.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including store openings, partnerships, and acquisitions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and merchandise, to develop and execute growth plans.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to inform business decisions and drive growth.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including partners, suppliers, and customers.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments, and apply that knowledge to inform business decisions.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform business decisions.
- Present business development opportunities and growth plans to senior leadership.
- Develop and maintain reporting and metrics to track business development progress and growth.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with business development initiatives.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify and pursue new sales opportunities.
- Identify and develop new business models to drive growth.
ā REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven track record of success in business development, including identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and driving growth.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyze complex data and develop insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to effectively communicate business development opportunities and growth plans to senior leadership.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and levels of the organization.
- Strong business acumen, including knowledge of retail operations, marketing, and finance.
- Familiarity with market research tools and techniques.
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
ā PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA or advanced degree in a related field.
- Experience in the retail industry, including knowledge of retail operations, merchandising, and marketing.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools, such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Familiarity with CRM software, such as Salesforce.
