🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Senior Category Manager for International Foods, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of our international food category strategy, ensuring alignment with ALDI's overall business objectives. You will report directly to the Category Director and work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, logistics, and marketing. Your primary goal will be to drive sales growth, improve profitability, and enhance the shopping experience for our customers.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Develop and execute comprehensive category strategies to drive sales growth and improve profitability

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of category plans

* Conduct market research and analysis to stay up-to-date on consumer trends and preferences

* Work closely with suppliers to negotiate pricing and manage inventory levels

* Monitor and analyze category performance, making adjustments as needed to achieve business objectives

* Provide input on category-related marketing campaigns to ensure alignment with business goals

* Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, vendors, and internal partners

* Drive category innovation and sustainability initiatives, ensuring alignment with ALDI's core values

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

* 8+ years of experience in category management, preferably within the retail industry

* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred

* Proven track record of driving sales growth and improving profitability in a category leadership role

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams

* Strong understanding of international food trends and consumer preferences

* Familiarity with category management software and analytical tools

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field

* Certification in category management or a related field

* 2+ years of experience working in an international environment

* Fluency in multiple languages, including English, Portuguese, and/or Spanish

* Experience with data analytics and business intelligence tools
