🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Senior Clinical Data Architect at Northwell Health, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing data governance strategies that support our population health initiatives. Reporting to our Director of Clinical Data Analytics, you will lead cross-functional teams to develop data architectures, data quality standards, and data validation processes that ensure the accuracy, reliability, and consistency of our clinical data. Your expertise will enable us to make informed decisions, drive population health improvements, and enhance patient outcomes.
📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Lead data architecture teams to design and implement data warehouses, data lakes, and other data storage solutions that support clinical data analytics.
Collaborate with clinicians, researchers, and IT professionals to develop and implement data quality standards, data validation processes, and data governance workflows.
Design and implement data access controls and security measures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive clinical data.
Develop and maintain data documentation, including data dictionaries, data lineage, and data flow diagrams.
Work with data scientists and analysts to develop and deploy data-driven solutions that support population health initiatives.
Identify and prioritize opportunities to improve data quality, data governance, and data analytics capabilities.
✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
7+ years of experience in clinical data governance, data architecture, or a related field.
Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Proven experience with data governance frameworks, data quality standards, and data validation processes.
Extensive knowledge of data architecture principles, data modeling, and data storage solutions (e.g., relational databases, NoSQL databases, data warehouses).
Experience with data access control, security, and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
Certification in data governance or a related field (e.g., Certified Data Governance Professional).
⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Knowledge of data analytics tools and technologies (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau).
Experience with agile development methodologies and iterative software development.
Certification in data science or a related field (e.g., Certified Data Scientist).
💰 WHAT WE OFFER
We offer a competitive salary range of €55,000 - €80,000 per year, depending on experience.
