šŸŽÆ ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Senior Cloud Architect for SaaS Operations, you will play a key role in shaping Calendly's cloud infrastructure to support our rapid growth. You will design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available systems, ensuring seamless user experiences and minimizing downtime. You will work closely with our engineering team to identify opportunities for improvement and drive cloud adoption across the organization. You will report directly to the Director of Engineering and contribute to the development of our cloud strategy.

šŸ“‹ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and implement cloud-based infrastructure solutions using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform to support our SaaS operations.

• Develop and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architectures to ensure high uptime and performance.

• Collaborate with the engineering team to identify opportunities for cloud adoption and drive innovation.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud infrastructure, including architecture diagrams, deployment scripts, and operational procedures.

• Ensure compliance with cloud security and governance standards, including PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and GDPR.

• Develop and maintain a cloud cost optimization strategy to minimize costs and maximize ROI.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies, trends, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.

āœ… REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture, engineering, or a related field.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Expert-level knowledge of cloud computing platforms, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Experience with cloud security, compliance, and governance frameworks.

• Strong understanding of containerization, orchestration, and serverless computing.

• Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and monitoring.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with cloud cost optimization tools and strategies.

• Knowledge of cloud-based data storage solutions, including relational databases and NoSQL databases.

• Experience with cloud-based identity and access management solutions.

• Certification in cloud computing, such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or Azure Certified Cloud Engineer.
