šÆ ROLE OVERVIEW
We're looking for a seasoned Senior Cloud Data Engineer to join our team and help design, develop, and maintain our cloud-based data infrastructure. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the scalability, reliability, and performance of our data platforms. You'll report to our Head of Engineering and work closely with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes. Your impact will be measured by the quality of your work, your ability to collaborate with others, and your contributions to our team's success.
š KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement scalable data architectures using cloud-based services such as AWS S3, Glacier, and Athena.
- Develop high-quality data pipelines using tools like Apache Beam, Apache NiFi, or AWS Glue.
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to develop and deploy machine learning models using cloud-based services such as AWS SageMaker.
- Ensure data quality and governance by developing and maintaining data validation rules and data lineage tracking.
- Work with our DevOps team to implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for our data platforms.
- Develop and maintain documentation for our data platforms, including architecture diagrams, data flow diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 uptime for our data platforms.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud-based services and technologies, and make recommendations for their adoption.
- Collaborate with our security team to ensure our data platforms meet the highest security and compliance standards.
ā REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-based data infrastructure.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud-based services such as AWS S3, Glacier, Athena, and SageMaker.
- Experience with data pipeline development using tools like Apache Beam, Apache NiFi, or AWS Glue.
- Strong understanding of data governance and quality principles.
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline development and implementation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
ā PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience with machine learning model development and deployment using cloud-based services.
- Certified cloud professional, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js.

We offer a highly competitive salary range of £55,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
