🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Senior Cloud Security Engineer at Twitter, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our cloud infrastructure. Reporting to the Cloud Security Team Lead, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security controls across our cloud-based systems. Your expertise will have a significant impact on our ability to protect sensitive data, prevent cyberattacks, and maintain the trust of our users. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams, including DevOps, Engineering, and Security, to drive cloud security best practices and incident response.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design and implement cloud security architectures for Twitter's e-commerce platform, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

- Develop and maintain technical documentation for cloud security policies, procedures, and guidelines.

- Collaborate with the DevOps team to integrate security into the development lifecycle, ensuring secure coding practices and vulnerability management.

- Conduct regular security assessments and penetration testing of cloud-based systems to identify vulnerabilities and improve overall security posture.

- Participate in incident response efforts to quickly contain and resolve security incidents, minimizing their impact on the business.

- Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud security threats and trends, advising the team on the latest technologies and best practices.

- Collaborate with the Cloud Security team to develop and implement a cloud security strategy that aligns with Twitter's overall security vision.

- Conduct Security as Code (SaC) practices and ensure that code is auditable and verifiable.

- Develop a cloud security roadmap for the UK e-commerce platform.

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 7+ years of experience in cloud security engineering, with a focus on designing and implementing secure cloud architectures.

- Proven expertise in cloud security frameworks, protocols, and standards (e.g., AWS Well-Architected Framework, PCI-DSS, HIPAA).

- Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), with experience in designing and deploying secure cloud infrastructure.

- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.

- Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, containerization).

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- AWS Certified Engineer or Architect certification.

- Experience with cloud security vendors (e.g., Cloud Security Alliance, Cloud Security Solutions).

- Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes).

- Strong understanding of identity and access management (IAM) concepts.

- Experience with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).

We offer a competitive salary range of £55,000 - £80,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
