šŸŽÆ ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Senior Cybersecurity Architect — Wireless Network Protection, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing robust security solutions to protect Verizon's wireless network and its customers' sensitive information. You will report to the Director of Cybersecurity Architecture and will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and security. Your primary goal will be to identify and mitigate potential security risks, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and provide expert advice on security best practices.

šŸ“‹ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design and implement secure architectures for Verizon's wireless network, including the use of encryption, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.

- Conduct thorough risk assessments and security vulnerability testing to identify potential threats and recommend remediation strategies.

- Collaborate with the security operations team to develop and implement incident response plans and procedures.

- Provide training and guidance to Verizon's engineers and IT staff on security best practices and compliance requirements.

- Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats and technologies and recommend updates to Verizon's security policies and procedures.

- Develop and maintain relationships with leading security vendors to stay informed about new security products and services.

- Participate in security design reviews and provide expert feedback on security aspects of network and system designs.

- Collaborate with the compliance team to ensure Verizon's security practices meet regulatory requirements.

- Develop and maintain security documentation, including security policies, procedures, and standards.

- Provide input on security-related aspects of Verizon's annual risk assessment and audit program.

- Participate in the development and maintenance of Verizon's enterprise security architecture.

āœ… REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related field.

- Minimum 8 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on wireless network security.

- Proven expertise in security architecture design, including secure network design and implementation.

- In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, regulations, and standards, including NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.

- Strong understanding of wireless network technologies and protocols.

- Experience with network security testing tools, such as Nessus and OpenVAS.

- Familiarity with cloud security platforms, such as AWS and Azure.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present complex security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related field.

- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) designation.

- Experience with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.

- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks, such as MITRE ATT&CK and NIST Cybersecurity Framework.

- Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.
