šÆ ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Senior Cybersecurity Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for leading our efforts to protect sensitive customer data from cyber threats. You will work closely with our IT team to develop and implement robust security controls and incident response plans. You will also serve as a key liaison with our external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with industry standards. You will report to our Director of IT and will be a key member of our security team. Your impact will be felt across the organization as you help to ensure the trust and loyalty of our customers.
š KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and maintain the security posture of sensitive customer data across all company systems and networks.
Develop and implement incident response plans and procedures to minimize downtime and damage in the event of a data breach.
Collaborate with IT team members to conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Manage and maintain security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to security threats.
Develop and deliver security awareness training to employees across the organization.
ā REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, with a focus on incident response and threat analysis.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent experience.
Experience with threat intelligence platforms and SIEM systems.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as PCI-DSS and HIPAA.
ā PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in Cybersecurity or related field.
Experience with security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR) tools.
Certification in Cloud Security or Cloud Architecture.
Familiarity with IT service management frameworks, such as ITIL.

š„ ABOUT THE TEAM
Our security team is comprised of 5 members, including a Director of IT, a Cybersecurity Engineer, a Security Analyst, and two Incident Response Specialists. We work closely together to protect sensitive customer data and ensure the security of our systems and networks. We are a collaborative and supportive team that values open communication and knowledge-sharing. We recently completed a successful penetration testing exercise, which helped us to identify and remediate several security vulnerabilities.
