šÆ ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Senior Cybersecurity Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust cybersecurity measures to protect uchealth's sensitive patient data. You will work closely with our IT team to ensure the security of our systems, networks, and applications. You will also provide expert guidance on cybersecurity best practices and incident response strategies. Your work will have a significant impact on the trust and confidence that our patients and partners have in uchealth's ability to safeguard their data.
š KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and implement cybersecurity strategies to protect patient data from breaches and cyber threats.
Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
Collaborate with the IT team to implement security measures, such as firewalls, intrusion detection, and encryption.
Develop and implement incident response plans to quickly respond to and contain cybersecurity incidents.
Provide expert guidance on cybersecurity best practices to the uchealth team, including training and awareness programs.
Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats and technologies, and apply this knowledge to inform our security strategies.
ā REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on healthcare data protection.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
CISSP or CISM certification.
Experience with NIST Cybersecurity Framework and HIPAA security guidelines.
Advanced knowledge of security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection, and encryption.
ā PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in Cybersecurity or a related field.
Experience with cloud-based security solutions.
Certification in penetration testing or security auditing.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams.

We offer a competitive salary range of £55,000 - £75,000 per annum, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including private health insurance and a contributory pension scheme. Our recent wins include the implementation of a new security information and event management (SIEM) system, which has significantly improved our incident response capabilities.
