π― ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Senior Data Analytics Specialist, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and improvement through data-driven insights. You will report to the Director of Data Analytics and work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze complex data sets, identify trends, and develop actionable recommendations. Your expertise will help UPMC inform strategic decisions, optimize operations, and enhance patient outcomes.
π KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and execute data analysis plans to support business objectives; Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide data visualizations and insights; Analyze large data sets using SQL, Python, and other tools to identify trends and patterns; Create data-driven narratives to inform strategic decisions; Work with IT teams to integrate data from various sources and develop data pipelines; Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators; Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness; Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop and implement data governance policies and procedures.
β REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of experience in data analysis and business intelligence; Strong technical skills in SQL, Python, Excel, and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field; Experience working with large data sets and developing data models; Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively distill complex data insights into actionable recommendations.
β PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field; Experience working in healthcare or insurance industry; Certification in data science, business intelligence, or related field; Strong experience with cloud-based data platforms like Amazon Redshift or Google BigQuery.
