šÆ ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Senior Data Architect - Retail Analytics, you will play a key role in shaping and implementing data-driven strategies that drive business growth and improvement across Publix's retail landscape. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining comprehensive data architectures, data governance, and data quality controls to support business intelligence, analytics, and reporting needs. This role will require strong collaboration with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, IT, and data science professionals to ensure alignment and effective data utilization.
š KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, implement, and maintain robust data architectures to support business intelligence, analytics, and reporting needs.
- Develop and maintain data governance frameworks, standards, and policies to ensure data quality, integrity, and security.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and prioritize data requirements, develop data solutions, and implement data-driven initiatives.
- Design, develop, and maintain data models, databases, and data warehouses to support business analytics and reporting.
- Develop and maintain data quality controls, data validation, and data cleansing processes to ensure high-quality data.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure data is accessible and usable for various business applications and systems.
- Monitor and analyze data trends, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop data-driven recommendations to drive business growth and improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data architecture, data governance, and data analytics.
- Participate in data-related projects and initiatives to drive business innovation and transformation.
- Mentor and train junior data professionals to ensure knowledge sharing and skill development within the team.
- Develop and maintain accurate documentation of data architectures, data governance policies, and data quality processes.
ā REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in data architecture, data governance, and data analytics with a focus on retail or related industries.
- In-depth knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance principles, standards, and best practices.
- Strong experience with data management tools, technologies, and platforms, such as data modeling software, data integration tools, and cloud-based data platforms.
- Experience with big data processing, machine learning, and advanced analytics techniques.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, database systems, and software development principles.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data manipulation skills, with the ability to work with complex data sets.
- Experience with data visualization tools and techniques to communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks, data quality metrics, and data security standards.
ā PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Familiarity with agile software development methodologies and DevOps principles.
- Experience with data science tools and techniques, such as machine learning libraries, data visualization tools, and statistical modeling software.
- Strong experience with data storytelling and communication, with the ability to effectively convey insights and recommendations to stakeholders.

We offer a competitive salary range of ā¬60,000 - ā¬80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
