šÆ ROLE OVERVIEW
We're looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our cloud migration team. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines and architectures on the cloud. You will work closely with our data scientists to develop and deploy machine learning models, and collaborate with our engineering teams to ensure seamless integration with our product infrastructure. You will report directly to our Director of Engineering and will be responsible for mentoring junior engineers and leading projects.
š KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement large-scale data pipelines and architectures on the cloud, using tools such as Apache Beam, Apache Spark, and AWS Glue.
- Develop and deploy machine learning models using popular frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
- Collaborate with data scientists to develop and deploy data products, such as dashboards and data visualizations.
- Work closely with our engineering teams to ensure seamless integration with our product infrastructure.
- Lead projects and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure high-quality code is delivered to production.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud and data technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve our infrastructure and services.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and technical guides.
ā REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on cloud-based architectures.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Expert-level knowledge of cloud-based data platforms, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Strong skills in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
- Experience with data integration tools, such as Apache NiFi or AWS Glue.
- Strong understanding of data processing frameworks, such as Apache Beam or Apache Spark.
- Experience with containerization, such as Docker or Kubernetes.
ā PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks, such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Strong skills in data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Experience with cloud-based security and compliance tools, such as AWS IAM or Azure AD.

We offer a competitive salary range of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
