šŸŽÆ ROLE OVERVIEW

As Senior Data Protection Compliance Specialist — Financial Services, you will play a critical role in ensuring the compliance of our financial services business with data protection regulations. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to develop and implement effective data protection policies and procedures, ensuring that we maintain the trust of our customers and comply with relevant laws and regulations. You will report to the Data Protection Officer and will be responsible for leading and managing a team of data protection specialists.

šŸ“‹ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement data protection policies and procedures that align with relevant laws and regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

• Conduct data protection impact assessments and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential data protection risks.

• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to ensure that data protection compliance is integrated into business as usual processes.

• Develop and deliver training and awareness programs to ensure that employees understand their data protection responsibilities.

• Collaborate with the Information Security team to ensure that data protection controls are integrated into our overall information security strategy.

• Develop and manage data protection metrics and reporting to track compliance and identify areas for improvement.

• Collaborate with the Data Protection Officer to ensure that data protection compliance is integrated into our overall risk management strategy.

• Develop and manage relationships with external stakeholders, including regulators and industry bodies, to stay up-to-date with the latest data protection developments.

• Conduct audits and reviews to ensure that data protection compliance is maintained.

• Develop and implement data protection awareness campaigns to educate employees about the importance of data protection.

āœ… REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of experience in data protection, with a focus on compliance and regulatory affairs.

• Strong knowledge of data protection laws and regulations, including the GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

• Experience of working in a financial services business, with a strong understanding of the regulatory requirements.

• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate data protection risks.

• Experience of working in a multinational organization, with a strong understanding of global data protection regulations.

• Knowledge of data protection technologies, including data loss prevention and encryption.
