šÆ ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Senior Deep Learning Research Engineer on our Autonomous Systems team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing cutting-edge deep learning algorithms for autonomous systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and deploy these algorithms in real-world applications. This role exists to drive innovation and growth in NVIDIA's autonomous systems business.
š KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and develop deep learning architectures for perception, prediction, and control in autonomous systems.
- Collaborate with software engineers to implement and deploy these architectures in real-world applications.
- Work with data scientists to collect, preprocess, and label large datasets for training and validation.
- Develop and maintain state-of-the-art models using popular deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Publish research papers and present at conferences to advance the field of autonomous systems.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in deep learning and autonomous systems research.
- Mentor junior engineers and help them develop their research and engineering skills.
- Work with the team to define and prioritize research projects that align with business goals.
ā REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in deep learning research and development.
- Strong background in deep learning architectures, including convolutional and recurrent neural networks.
- Experience with popular deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Strong programming skills in Python and C++.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
ā PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with autonomous systems research and development.
- Familiarity with computer vision and sensor fusion techniques.\n- Experience with Linux and shell scripting.
- Strong publication record in top-tier conferences and journals.
- Experience with mentorship and team leadership.
