šÆ ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Senior Digital Marketing Specialist, you will play a critical role in driving the company's online growth and customer engagement. Reporting to the Director of E-commerce, you will lead the development and execution of digital marketing strategies across multiple channels, including social media, email, search engine optimization, and paid advertising. Your expertise will help Family Dollar navigate the ever-changing digital landscape and stay ahead of competitors in the retail industry.
š KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute comprehensive digital marketing strategies to drive online sales and customer engagement
- Analyze website traffic, online behavior, and customer data to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including creative, merchandising, and e-commerce to ensure seamless execution of marketing campaigns
- Manage and optimize online advertising spend, including social media, search engine marketing, and email marketing
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure Family Dollar remains competitive and innovative in the digital space
- Work with data analytics tools to measure campaign effectiveness, track key performance indicators, and provide data-driven insights to inform marketing decisions
- Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors, agencies, and partners to support digital marketing efforts
- Provide training and guidance to junior team members on digital marketing techniques, best practices, and industry trends
- Ensure all marketing initiatives align with the company's brand strategy and messaging
- Work with the creative team to develop visual materials, such as email templates, social media graphics, and landing pages
- Monitor and respond to customer feedback, reviews, and complaints on social media and review sites
ā REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field; Master's degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, with a focus on omni-channel retail
- Proven track record of success in developing and executing digital marketing strategies that drive sales and customer engagement
- Strong understanding of search engine optimization (SEO), pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, and social media marketing
- Experience with data analytics tools, such as Google Analytics and Adobe Campaign
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a willingness to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
- Experience with email marketing software, such as Mailchimp or Marketo
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), such as WordPress or Drupal
- Certification in digital marketing, such as HubSpot or Google Analytics, a plus
ā PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working in the retail industry, with a focus on omnichannel retail
- Knowledge of e-commerce platforms, such as Shopify or Magento
- Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software, such as Salesforce or Zappier
- Experience with social media advertising, including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
- Strong understanding of conversion rate optimization (CRO) and user experience (UX) design
