šÆ ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly skilled and creative PART-TIME Senior Disney Theme Park Experience Designer to join our UK team. As a key member of our design team, you will play a critical role in shaping the immersive experiences that delight our guests and bring our beloved stories and characters to life. Reporting to the Director of Design, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative experiences that exceed our guests' expectations and drive business growth. This unique opportunity will allow you to combine your artistic vision, technical expertise, and passion for storytelling to create unforgettable experiences for audiences of all ages.
š KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and develop immersive experiences for our theme parks and resorts that align with our brand and business objectives, including character meet and greets, live shows, parades, and interactive attractions.
Collaborate with creative teams to develop and refine concept designs, storylines, and scripts that meet our brand's standards and guest expectations.
Work closely with engineers and technical teams to ensure that experience designs are feasible and align with our technical capabilities.
Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and partners to source innovative technologies and solutions that enhance our experiences.
Conduct research and analysis to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in experience design, and apply this knowledge to inform our design decisions.
Work closely with our marketing and communications teams to develop and implement promotional campaigns that drive attendance and revenue.
Stay up-to-date with the latest Disney brand guidelines and ensure that all experiences are aligned with our brand standards.
ā REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 5 years of experience in experience design, theme park operations, or a related field.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as experience design, theater, or fine arts.
Proven track record of delivering high-quality experiences that meet or exceed business objectives.
Strong understanding of Disney's brand, values, and business objectives, and ability to apply this knowledge in a design context.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze data and make informed design decisions.
ā PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in a relevant field, such as experience design or fine arts.
5+ years of experience in a design or operations role, preferably in the theme park or entertainment industry.
Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SketchUp.
Certification in a relevant field, such as experience design or theme park operations.
