🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Senior Medical IT Project Manager in our Cancer Research Institute, you will be responsible for leading and managing complex IT projects that support cutting-edge medical research. You will work closely with our research teams, clinicians, and IT staff to ensure the successful delivery of projects that drive innovation and improve patient outcomes. You will report to the Director of IT Project Management and will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our research efforts.

πŸ“‹ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Manage and lead multiple IT projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.

* Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and resource allocation.

* Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including research, clinical, and IT staff.

* Identify and mitigate project risks, and develop mitigation strategies.

* Develop and track project budgets, and ensure alignment with organizational financial goals.

* Conduct regular project status updates, and report to senior leadership.

* Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

* Manage and maintain project documentation, including project plans, meeting notes, and status reports.

* Develop and implement lessons learned and best practices for future project management.

* Participate in process improvement initiatives to optimize project management processes.

* Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and methodologies, and apply knowledge to improve project management practices.

* Manage and lead project teams, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship.

* Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and open communication among project team members.

* Identify and develop opportunities for process improvement, and implement changes to enhance project management efficiency.

* Develop and manage project budgets, and ensure alignment with organizational financial goals.

βœ… REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

* 8+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on IT or medical research projects.

* PMP or Agile certification is highly desirable.

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

* Strong technical background, with experience in software development, data analytics, or other relevant technical areas.

* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.

* Experience with project management tools, such as Asana, Jira, or MS Project.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to think critically and make sound judgments.

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

* Experience with cloud-based project management tools, such as Trello or Microsoft Planner.

* Familiarity with medical research projects, and understanding of research methodologies.

* Experience with data analysis, and ability to work with large data sets.

* Knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and methodologies, and ability to apply knowledge to improve project management practices.
