🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Senior Quantum Computing Research Scientist at Intel Germany, you will be part of a team dedicated to advancing the field of quantum computing and its applications. You will work closely with researchers and engineers to develop and implement new quantum computing algorithms, explore new quantum computing architectures, and collaborate with industry partners to apply quantum computing to real-world problems. You will report to the Quantum Computing Research Manager and will have the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research and development projects.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Design and develop new quantum computing algorithms and protocols for various applications

Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement new quantum computing architectures and hardware

Conduct research on the applications of quantum computing in various fields, including chemistry, materials science, and machine learning

Develop and maintain high-performance computing systems for quantum computing simulations

Work with industry partners to develop and apply quantum computing solutions to real-world problems

Publish research results in top-tier scientific journals and conferences

Collaborate with other teams to integrate quantum computing into Intel's overall technology strategy

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or a related field

At least 5 years of experience in quantum computing research and development

Proven track record of publishing research results in top-tier scientific journals and conferences

Strong background in quantum mechanics, quantum information theory, and quantum computing architectures

Excellent programming skills in languages such as C++, Python, or Qiskit

Experience with high-performance computing systems and quantum computing hardware

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Postdoctoral research experience in quantum computing or a related field

Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence applications in quantum computing

Familiarity with quantum computing software development and testing

Experience with collaboration and teamwork in a research environment

Fluency in German or a willingness to learn
