🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Senior Sustainability Consultant at Waste Management, you will play a critical role in helping us achieve our sustainability goals. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to develop and implement sustainable waste management solutions that meet the needs of our customers and stakeholders. You will be responsible for conducting site assessments, identifying opportunities for improvement, and developing recommendations for reducing waste, recycling, and minimizing environmental impact. You will report to our Director of Sustainability and will have the opportunity to work on some of our most high-profile projects.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct site assessments to identify opportunities for waste reduction, recycling, and environmental improvement

Develop and implement sustainable waste management solutions that meet customer needs and regulatory requirements

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sustainability strategies

Conduct regular reporting to stakeholders on progress towards sustainability goals

Develop and present recommendations for improving waste management practices

Work with our operations team to ensure effective implementation of sustainability initiatives

Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of experience in waste management, sustainability, or a related field

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field

Strong knowledge of waste management regulations and best practices

Excellent communication and project management skills

Proven experience in developing and implementing sustainability initiatives

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Master's degree in Sustainability or a related field

Certification in sustainable waste management or a related field

Experience working in a regulated industry

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
