🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Senior Technical Writer for Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Documentation, you will be responsible for creating high-quality documentation that enables Tesla's customers to install and operate our charging equipment safely and efficiently. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and customer support, to develop accurate and engaging content that meets the needs of our customers and internal stakeholders.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Design and develop technical documentation for Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE), including installation guides, user manuals, and troubleshooting guides.

Create and maintain accurate and up-to-date product information, including product specifications, technical datasheets, and marketing materials.

Develop and implement a content strategy that meets the needs of our customers and internal stakeholders, and aligns with Tesla's brand and messaging.

Collaborate with external experts and stakeholders to develop and review technical content, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

Create and maintain a library of reusable content assets, including images, diagrams, and videos.

Develop and administer style guides and content standards to ensure consistency across all documentation.

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

7+ years of experience in technical writing, with a focus on complex technical subjects such as electrical engineering or software development.

Bachelor's degree in a technical field, such as electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information to non-technical audiences.

Proven track record of developing high-quality documentation that is accurate, engaging, and easy to understand.

Experience working with content management systems (CMS) and version control tools such as Git.

Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with EVSE or other electrical infrastructure equipment.

Familiarity with Tesla's products and services.

Certification in technical writing or a related field.

Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.

💰 WHAT WE OFFER

Competitive salary range: £50,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
