🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Senior Transit Data Analyst, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality data analysis and insights to support our clients' urban mobility initiatives. You will work closely with our transportation engineering and data science teams to design and implement data visualizations, predictive models, and other analytical tools to help our clients make informed decisions. Reporting to our Head of Analytics, you will have the opportunity to work on high-impact projects and contribute to the development of our company's expertise in transit data analysis.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design and develop data visualizations and interactive dashboards to communicate complex transit data insights to clients and stakeholders

craft and execute data pipelines and ETL processes to integrate diverse data sources

develop and implement predictive models to forecast transit demand and optimize routes

collaborate with transportation engineering teams to integrate transit data into urban planning and design initiatives

test and validate data quality and integrity to ensure high-quality insights and recommendations

develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base for data analytics tools and methods

gather and analyze feedback from clients to inform continuous improvement of analytics products and services

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Transportation Engineering, or a related field

t least 5 years of experience in data analysis and visualization, preferably in transit data analytics or a related field

demonstrated expertise in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js

depth knowledge of statistical modeling and data mining techniques, including machine learning and predictive analytics

capacity to work with large datasets and develop efficient data pipelines

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with transit data sources such as GTFS, CSV, or GTFS-RT

depth knowledge of Python, R, or SQL programming languages

demonstrated experience with agile development methodologies and version control tools such as Git

good understanding of transportation planning principles and urban mobility trends

💰 WHAT WE OFFER

As a Senior Transit Data Analyst at MTA, you can expect a competitive salary range of €60,000 - €80,000 per annum, as well as a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plan, and generous vacation days.
