šÆ ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Senior Video Content Moderator in our EMEA team, you will be responsible for reviewing and moderating videos to ensure they meet our community guidelines. You will work closely with our content moderation team to identify and remove harmful or inappropriate content. You will report to our Content Moderation Manager and will be working closely with our cross-functional teams to identify trends and implement new moderation strategies.
š KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review videos for adherence to YouTube's community guidelines and safety policies
- Identify and flag videos that contain hate speech, harassment, or other forms of abusive content
- Collaborate with our content moderation team to develop and implement new moderation strategies
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in content moderation
- Work with our legal and policy teams to ensure compliance with YouTube's community guidelines
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with YouTube's community guidelines
- Develop and maintain training materials for content moderators
- Collaborate with our external teams to identify and remove harmful or inappropriate content
- Provide guidance and support to junior moderators
ā REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience in content moderation or a related field
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. communications, journalism, sociology)
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with YouTube's community guidelines and safety policies
- Experience with content moderation tools and platforms
ā PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in a related field
- 2+ years of experience in a leadership or management role
- Certification in content moderation or a related field
- Experience working with external teams or vendors
- Familiarity with machine learning and AI technologies
