šÆ ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Supply Chain Operations Manager at FedEx's Europe Logistics Hub in Germany, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of our logistics facilities, ensuring seamless execution of supply chain processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity. Reporting directly to the Senior Operations Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring inventory levels, coordinating shipments, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to mitigate supply chain disruptions and optimize logistics workflows. Your expertise and leadership skills will be instrumental in achieving exceptional customer satisfaction and driving business growth.
š KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement strategic plans to improve supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve logistics issues, optimize inventory levels, and streamline shipping processes.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supply chain performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and logistics partners.
Analyze and interpret data to inform supply chain decisions, leveraging insights to drive business growth and process improvements.
Implement and maintain effective inventory management practices, ensuring accurate tracking and record-keeping.
Collaborate with the Senior Operations Manager to develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement within the supply chain.
ā REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of experience in supply chain management, logistics operations, or a related field.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven track record of supply chain optimization, including experience with inventory management, warehouse operations, and transportation logistics.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and drive informed decision-making.
Fluent German and English language skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Certification in Supply Chain Management, such as APICS or SCMP, is highly desirable.
ā PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS).
Knowledge of emerging supply chain technologies, such as blockchain and artificial intelligence.
Certification in Lean Six Sigma or a related process improvement methodology.
