Sustainability Program Manager - German Market Expansion

🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

As the Sustainability Program Manager - German Market Expansion, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable practices across our German operations. You will work closely with our Supply Chain team to ensure that our suppliers meet our environmental and social responsibility standards. You will also collaborate with our Marketing team to create engaging content that showcases our commitment to sustainability. You will report directly to our Regional Director and will be part of a dynamic team that is passionate about making a positive impact.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop and implement sustainable practices across our German operations, including reducing waste, conserving energy, and promoting environmental awareness among employees and customers

- Collaborate with our Supply Chain team to ensure that our suppliers meet our environmental and social responsibility standards, including conducting audits and assessments of supplier performance

- Create and implement programs to promote sustainability awareness and education among employees, including workshops, training sessions, and employee engagement initiatives

- Work closely with our Marketing team to develop and implement marketing strategies that promote our sustainability initiatives, including social media campaigns, email marketing, and event planning

- Conduct regular assessments of our environmental impact and identify areas for improvement

- Develop and implement plans to reduce our carbon footprint, including reducing energy consumption, reducing waste, and increasing recycling

- Collaborate with our Logistics team to optimize our supply chain and reduce our carbon footprint

- Develop and implement programs to promote employee engagement and participation in sustainability initiatives

- Conduct regular research and analysis to identify best practices and trends in sustainability and apply them to our operations

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of experience in sustainability or environmental management

- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field

- Experience in developing and implementing sustainable practices in a retail or hospitality setting

- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and standards, including ISO 14001 and GRI

- Ability to analyze complex data and identify areas for improvement

- Excellent communication and project management skills

- Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 7+ years of experience in sustainability or environmental management

- Master's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field

- Experience in developing and implementing sustainability initiatives in a global company

- Strong knowledge of data analysis and reporting, including carbon footprint analysis and sustainability reporting

- Experience working with suppliers and contractors to implement sustainable practices

- Strong knowledge of German environmental regulations and standards

💰 WHAT WE OFFER

We offer a competitive salary range of €55,000 - €80,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer comprehensive health insurance, a retirement plan, and generous vacation days.
