🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

The Sustainability Project Manager will play a critical role in developing and implementing waste reduction and recycling initiatives across Mexico. This position will work closely with our operations team to identify areas for improvement, design and implement new projects, and track progress towards our sustainability goals. Reporting directly to the Director of Sustainability, the Project Manager will have a significant impact on our company's environmental performance and reputation.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement comprehensive waste reduction and recycling strategies for municipalities and businesses across Mexico.

• Conduct site assessments and provide recommendations for improving waste management practices.

• Collaborate with our operations team to design and implement new recycling programs and infrastructure.

• Analyze data and track progress towards sustainability goals, making adjustments to strategies as needed.

• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including municipal officials, business leaders, and local communities.

• Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring effective use of resources and funds.

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in waste reduction and recycling.

• Collaborate with our marketing team to develop and implement public awareness campaigns promoting sustainable waste management practices.

• Conduct research and provide recommendations on new technologies and innovations in waste reduction and recycling.

• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and partners to secure materials and services needed for projects.

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of experience in sustainability, waste management, or environmental consulting.

• Master's degree in environmental science, sustainability, or a related field.

• Strong knowledge of waste reduction and recycling principles, best practices, and industry trends.

• Proven experience in project management, with a focus on sustainability and environmental impact.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to collect and analyze data to inform decision-making.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite, with ability to learn new software and tools.

• Fluency in Spanish and English (written and verbal).

• Certification in sustainability, environmental science, or a related field.

• Experience working with municipalities, businesses, or local communities on sustainability initiatives.

• Knowledge of local regulations and policies related to waste management and recycling.

• Familiarity with social media platforms and online content management systems.
