🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

As our new Cloud Services Security Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the security, integrity, and compliance of our cloud-based infrastructure. Reporting directly to the Director of IT, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential security risks. Your impact will be felt throughout the organization as you help us maintain a secure and reliable technology environment. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest cloud security trends.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop and implement cloud security strategies to protect our infrastructure from emerging threats

- Collaborate with the IT team to design and deploy secure cloud architecture and systems

- Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement

- Implement and maintain cloud security controls, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls

- Work with vendors and third-party providers to ensure compliance with our security standards

- Provide security training and awareness programs for staff and vendors

- Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud security trends, technologies, and best practices

- Develop and maintain security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

- Collaborate with the incident response team to manage and respond to security incidents

- Develop and maintain relationships with cloud service providers to ensure optimal security and support

- Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning efforts

- Perform other duties as required to support the success of the organization

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related field

- Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud security, architecture, or a related field

- Experience with cloud security frameworks, such as AWS Well-Architected Framework or Azure Security Benchmark

- Strong technical skills, including cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), cloud security tools (CloudWatch, CloudTrail), and cloud infrastructure (EC2, RDS, S3)

- Proficiency in programming languages, such as Python, Java, or C#

- Experience with security protocols, such as SSL/TLS, SSH, and VPN

- Familiarity with compliance frameworks, such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related field

- Experience with cloud-based security information and event management (SIEM) systems

- Familiarity with cloud-based identity and access management (IAM) systems

- Experience with cloud-based security gateways and firewalls

- Familiarity with cloud-based data loss prevention (DLP) solutions

- Certification in cloud security, such as CCSP or CISSP
