As a Talent Acquisition Specialist — Diversity & Inclusion at Southwest Airlines, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our recruitment strategy and championing diversity, equity, and inclusion across the organization. You will work closely with hiring managers to identify talent gaps and develop innovative solutions to attract top diverse candidates. Reporting to our Senior Talent Acquisition Manager, you will be responsible for driving business outcomes while fostering a culture of belonging and inclusivity.

šŸ“‹ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and execute targeted recruitment plans to attract diverse talent, leveraging various channels and partnerships.

• Collaborate with hiring managers to create inclusive job descriptions, interview processes, and assessment tools.

• Design and deliver training programs to enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion competencies among recruitment and hiring teams.

• Analyze and report on diversity metrics, identifying areas for improvement and recommending strategic interventions.

• Build relationships with diverse talent pools, including universities, community organizations, and professional networks.

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in talent acquisition and diversity, equity, and inclusion.

• Stay up-to-date on regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

• Partner with internal stakeholders to develop and implement organizational diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.

• Provide exceptional customer service to internal customers, including hiring managers, recruiters, and talent acquisition staff.

• Conduct data analysis to inform recruitment strategies and optimize hiring processes.

• Collaborate with the communications team to develop and disseminate diversity, equity, and inclusion messaging and initiatives.

• Stay informed about internal and external opportunities for professional development and growth.

āœ… REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

4+ years of experience in talent acquisition, diversity, equity, and inclusion, or a related field.

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Proven track record of developing and implementing successful recruitment strategies that drive business outcomes and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed recommendations.

Experience with talent management systems, recruitment software, and data analysis tools.

Certifications in diversity, equity, and inclusion (e.g., SHRM-CP, SPHR-iG, CDEI) or a related field.

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Advanced degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.

Certification in a related field of study (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR, CPHR).

Fluency in a second language (e.g., Spanish, French, Mandarin).

Experience with diversity, equity, and inclusion training programs and initiatives.
