šÆ ROLE OVERVIEW
We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Architect to join our team in the UK. As a Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing our global cloud infrastructure to meet the evolving needs of our users. You will work closely with our development teams to ensure seamless integration with our applications, while maintaining the highest levels of security and performance. This role reports directly to our Head of Engineering and will play a critical role in shaping our cloud strategy.
š KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure cloud infrastructure meets application requirements.
- Develop and maintain cloud architecture documentation, including design patterns and best practices.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities and optimize cloud resource utilization.
- Ensure compliance with industry security standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the DevOps team to develop and implement continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
- Provide expert guidance and training to junior team members.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and trends.
- Develop and maintain relationships with cloud vendors and partners.
- Participate in cloud security vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
ā REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture and design.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Proven experience with cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Expertise in cloud security, compliance, and risk management.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, including networks, storage, and virtualization.
- Experience with cloud management tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
ā PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Certified Cloud Architect or Cloud Engineer certification.
- Experience with cloud-based CI/CD pipelines and automation.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with cloud-based data analytics and machine learning.

We offer a highly competitive salary range of £50,000 to £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
