π― ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Data Analytics Specialist, you will play a critical role in analyzing and interpreting complex data sets to inform business decisions. You will work closely with the US Postal Service's analytics team to develop and implement data-driven strategies to optimize operations and improve customer experience. You will report to the Director of Analytics and will have a significant impact on the organization's data-driven decision-making process, enabling USPS to stay competitive in an ever-changing market.
π KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and maintain complex data models to analyze and visualize data insights
Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement data-driven solutions
Analyze large data sets to identify trends and inform business decisions
Design and implement data visualizations and reporting tools
Work with the analytics team to develop and maintain data governance policies
Develop and maintain SQL queries to extract and manipulate data
Collaborate with IT teams to identify and address data quality issues
Develop and maintain documentation for data models and data visualizations
β REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as mathematics, statistics, or computer science
3+ years of experience in data analytics, data science, or a related field
Proven experience with SQL, data visualization tools, and statistical software
Experience working with large data sets and developing complex data models
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Python, R, or MATLAB
β PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in a quantitative field
Experience working with cloud-based data platforms, such as Amazon Redshift or Google BigQuery
Certification in data science, machine learning, or related field
Experience with data governance policies and data quality issues
